Introduction

Welcome to Renewable Energy Education, an online module developed by the Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP). We look forward to helping you learn more about renewable energy!

The module addresses what renewable energy is including solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal, and biomass, how renewable energy is used worldwide, nationwide, and locally in Wisconsin, the benefits and barriers of using renewable energy, as well as how to incorporate renewable energy into your life. Module activities include exploration of renewable energy readings and pertinent websites.

Goal: Participants will gain a fundamental knowledge about renewable energy and investigate renewable energy practices which they can incorporate into their lives.

The content of this online module is open to the public, however, if you'd like to receive a certificate of completion, you may register for it through the CNR Outreach Education registration system (CURRENTLY BEING DEVELOPED FOR RELEASE IN 2021). Successful completion of this online module satisfies the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Environmental Education Stipulation.
