Prior to requesting a card, the staff member must be in DIMS for at least 24 hours.
New employees need to request a PointCard:
Upload your
photo AND email the
PointCard Office with your
1) Name
2) ID# (100xxxxx)
3) Campus (SP, Marshfield, Wausau)
4) Dept. account number for billing (each initial card is $7)
Once the account number is received, the card will be printed and will be available for pick up at PointCard Office or for branch campuses, at their respective library. You will need to show an approved picture ID (state ID, driver’s license, passport, etc.) to pick up your PointCard.
OR, come into the PointCard Office in 340 DUC (715-346-2012) to have your photo taken. Bring the following with you:
1) ID#(100xxxx),
2) Dept. account number for billing (each initial card is $7)
3) An approved picture ID (state ID, driver’s license, passport, etc.)
Your card will be printed while you wait.
Uses:
The replacement fee for a missing, stolen, lost or negligently damaged card is $20*. Follow the procedure above for new employees but you will need to pay for the card yourself.
Some departments may also require you to have an Employee Badge. If this is the case, your supervisor will request this badge, and it will be mailed to your supervisor for distribution. The initial badge is paid for by your department. Replacement badges cost the employee $7 and can be obtained by visiting the PointCard Office.
*If a card is not working because of normal wear and tear, the card is very outdated or a legal name change is registered with HR, a new card can be obtained free of charge provided the original is returned to the PointCard Office at the time of replacement.
