Faculty and Staff

All students, faculty, and staff on all three UW-Stevens Point campuses are required to have a PointCard.​

Please carry your PointCard with you when on a UWSP campus. Prior to obtaining a Faculty/Staff PointCard, the staff member must be in DIMS for 24-48​ hours.​ Your initial PointCard is provided without charge. Please note that replacing a lost PointCard will cost your department $20.​


New Employees

  • Either upload your photo or we can take your photo when you visit the PointCard office.

  • Main Campus faculty and staff - Please visit our office to have your PointCard printed. Remember to bring your driver's license, or other government issued photo ID, when you visit.

  • Branch campus faculty and staff - Visit the PointCard office OR upload your photo​, then email pco@uwsp.edu to request that your card be printed and sent to your campus library. Please include your name, ID#, and campus to which you want your card sent. Remember to ​bring your driver's license, or other government issued photo ID, when you pick up your card from your campus library.​​

Lost Card Replacement

  • ​If you would like a new photo when replacing your PointCard, either upload your photo or we can take your photo when you stop in.​

  • ​​Main Campus faculty and staff - If your card is lost, please visit our office to have your PointCard printed. Please be prepared to provide your department account number​ for payment of the $20 card replacement fee.

  • ​Branch Campus faculty and staff - If your card is lost, you can visit our office OR if you would like a new photo, follow the Photo Upload Instructions here. Then, email pco@uwsp.edu to request that your card be printed and set to your campus library. Please include your name, ID#, which campus to send your card to, your department account number for the $20 replacement fee. Remember to bring your driver's license, or another government issued photo ID, when you pick up your card from your campus library.


Proper care of your PointCard

  • ​Do not bend or punch holes in your card. Doing so will damage the embedded chip and antenna.

  • Protect your card! Do not scratch it, wash/dry it in laundry machines, or expose to magnets or extreme heat.

  • Do not share your card. You are liable for all activities authorized by your card.​



PointCard uses:

  • Official University ID

  • Electronic lock and key tender access

  • Library checkout and services through the IT Service Desk

  • Fitness & Recreation memberships

 
*If your card is not working because of normal wear and tear, the card is very outdated or a legal name change is registered with HR, a new PointCard can be obtained free of charge, provided the original is returned to the PointCard Office at the time of replacement.
