​​​​Brigette Gibson​​

Brigette Gibson is the Director of the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) and Chief Data Officer at UW-Stevens Point. She leads the OIRE team, overseeing institution-wide data management, compliance, governance, and supporting institutional planning and evaluation through data analysis and visualization.

Before joining UW-Stevens Point, Brigette was the Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). There, she managed accreditation compliance, focusing on faculty qualifications and credentials, and supported institutional planning, academic program health, and evaluation activities. Brigette has also held various leadership roles in higher education, including positions in Student Financial Services, Bursar/Student Accounts, and Career Services, where she supported data, operations, technology, and student employment.

Brigette earned her Ed.D. in Leadership Studies from Bowling Green State University. She also holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Corporate and Organizational Studies from the University of Connecticut. Her research interests include addressing achievement gaps among underrepresented minority (URM) students, as well as the relationship between URM students' social and academic engagements and their financial literacy.  Brigette is dedicated to improving student success outcomes, including retention, persistence, and degree attainment.
