​Our Mission, Vision, & Values

The ACAC provides comprehensive major exploration and career development services for students and alumni to inspire long-term success. Our Academic Advisers and Career Coaches assist students in developing educational and career plans to discover who they are, where they are going, and how to locate and navigate relevant experiences leading to a fulfilling career path.

The ACAC strives to serve as a model for excellence in academic and career advising by partnering with students to help them develop a clear sense of self and their academic and career goals. We aim to provide a coordinated and responsive approach to student needs which serves as the foundation for success at UWSP and beyond. Our Values include:

• Advising as a teaching and learning experience that meets the individual developmental needs of the student
• Engaging in purposeful major and career exploration and personal reflection
• Creating an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for all and fostering collaboration and collegiality
• Serving as a resource for academic and career advising and its role in student success and retention
