UW-Stevens Point student kicks it up with Rockettes on summer break

Editor's note: This is the second story in an occasional Stevens Point Journal Media series titled "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," which tells stories of University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students and staff members and the fascinating work they did over summer break.

STEVENS POINT – Madelyn Mickelsen, 21, got a taste of her dream this summer.

The senior from Racine, who studies dance and arts management at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, spent part of her summer dancing with the Radio City Rockettes. She participated in the dance team's summer intensive program and its invitational week, giving her the chance to learn from Rockettes instructors and hone her skills as an aspiring professional dancer.​
