A benefit concert featuring
award-winning bluegrass band Art Stevenson and High Water will be held to help
“fix the Fox.” It will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Noel Fine Arts
Center courtyard at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Seniors in Art and Design
Associate Professor Jillian Noble’s graphic design art class have worked with
the Fox on Main Committee to create a new logo, website and other marketing
materials for the Fox, which will be unveiled that night. Fox committee members
Greg Wright and John Hartman will talk about the partnership with
students.
They worked with Mid-state Sisters
of Skate Roller Derby team to create a 15-month calendar with Hartman, a
professional photographer. The calendar and T-shirts with the new logo will be
available for sale, with proceeds benefiting the Fox project.
A suggested donation is $10 for
the event. A cash bar will be available. The Arts Alliance and College of Fine
Arts and Communication are co-sponsors.
