Welcome

Our mission is to prepare students to be global citizens—to succeed in a world where people and nations are interdependent, societies are culturally diverse, and life is increasingly shaped by new developments in science and technology. By exploring the foundations of human societies—their institutions, ideas, and values—our students learn essential skills in research, writing, and analysis, and how to apply them thoughtfully. We aim to prepare students for advanced degrees or careers in a variety of professions, including history, law, government, business, journalism, and education.
