SAP Notice
For students who see a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) hold on their myPoint account, this will not be removed until SAP has been calculated which will occur shortly after May 31, 2013. Your patience is appreciated with this process.
NEW Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy: Certain academic issues can impact financial aid eligibility. UWSP's policy regarding SAP will be changing following the spring 2013 semester. Please review the policy and contact our office with any questions.

The Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) will show satisfied on myPoint accounts in mid August. Loan certifications for the academic year will take place then. Students must be registered at least half-time, have accepted their Direct Loan(s), completed the Entrance Loan Counseling, and successfully completed the MPN.

FAFSA FILING REMINDER FOR 2013-2014
An easier way to provide tax information on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); with just a few simple steps, students & parents who have completed their IRS tax return will be able to view & transfer their tax information into their FAFSA mid-February, 2013.

Individuals eligible who use the IRS Data Retrieval Process, either when initially completing a FAFSA, or by using the corrections functionality of FAFSA on the web, provide the fastest, easiest, and most secure solution for satisfying some of the verification requirements should their application be selected for additional processing.

Student Financial Resource Center Precaution: Never pay a fee to determine whether you are eligible for financial aid. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only application form used by UWSP to determine financial aid eligibility. Likewise, reputable scholarship organizations do not charge a fee to determine your eligibility. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has received complaints regarding the Student Financial Resource Center aka College Financial Advisory. For more information, click here.
