​Dr. Kavita Bhatia, associate professor of Mathematics, presented Using Think Alouds to Remove Bottlenecks in Mathematics at the Wisconsin Mathematics Association meeting of two-year colleges in September at UW-Marathon County. She received a UW-Colleges Summer Research Grant for her research projects Using Think Alouds to Understand Students' Difficulty with Related Rates and Assessing the Impact of the Polya Rubric in Mathematical Problem Solving.

Publications:

​Dr. Kavita Bhatia, Mathematics Professor and Department Chair, published a paper with her colleague from UW-Baraboo, Kirthi Premadasa Real life applications in Mathematics: What do Students Prefer? in the International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, 7(2), under Research Articles.
