Costs at American Suzuki Institute

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Meals

Meals will be in the Debot Dining Center.

  • Full Meal Plan (17 meals)

    • Covers Sunday dinner through Saturday breakfast 

    • $125 per week (age 3 and older)

  • Lunch & Dinner Meal Plan (10 meals)

    • Covers lunch and dinner Monday-Friday. 

    • $85 per week (age 3 and older)

  • One kitchen is available on each dormitory floor.

 Housing

Due to the COVID pandemic, the only housing offered at ASI 2021 will be the teen dorm, which is reserved for the Chamber Music Camp. At this time, not all information is available from the University. We are expecting the room and board rate and additional forms that will be required for in-person events. We do know that COVID testing and daily symptom screening will be required. Institute housing is typical university residence halls with communal restrooms and kitchens on some floors.

  • University Residence Hall 
      • Refrigerator rental: $30 per week 
      • There are no housing fees for children age 2 and under. 
      • Fire regulations mandate that a maximum of two people over the age of two be assigned to a room. 
      • Families requiring more than one room will be housed next door or across the hall from each other.
      • Groups requesting to be housed together must send applications together in one envelope. 
      • Residence halls are located on the UWSP campus within walking distance of classroom buildings. 
      • Check-in begins at noon on Sunday. 
      • Check-out is by noon on Saturday. 
      • Linens are not provided in 2021, due to COVID restrictions Please bring a pillow, sheets, towels, and all necessary items with you. 
      • Tobacco use is prohibited on campus. 
      • No pets (other than service dogs) are allowed in the residence halls. 
      • A public telephone is available in the lobby of each hall. Rooms do not have active telephone lines, and the phone at the front desk is not for public use.

  • Teen Dorm
      • Teen dorm fee is $395 per week.
      • Open to students age 13-18, attending in-person Chamber Music, Week 2.  Early arrival is not permitted. 
      • Fee includes:
        • meals, lodging, specially planned activities, and full-time supervision by resident counselors.
      • Resident counselors are on-call 24 hours a day to ensure a safe and supportive environment..
      • Meal tickets are required and are included in the housing cost.
      • The Teen Dorm residents are under the supervision of the Institute, and residents are expected to abide by the established regulations and code of conduct, even if a parent is on campus.
      • The Institute reserves the right to remove any student from the Teen Dorm who fails to do so.
      • All forms required to be completed for each Teen Dorm resident will be emailed to you the first week of June, and must be completed and returned to us by June 29
  • Additional lodging in the dorms in 2021:
      • Students who are attending the chamber camp and who are under the age of 13 (and their parents) may stay in the dorms for an additional fee. Please see the registration form for fees.
      • Everyone staying on campus or attending classes must show proof of a negative COVID test that was performed within 72 hours of arrival. 
      • Everyone on campus for any reason must follow all COVID procedures and protocols.
  • Meals
      • Meals are included in the Teen dorm costs
      • Meal tickets are available for the week at a price of $125 (includes 17 meals beginning with dinner on Sunday and ending with breakfast on Saturday).
