Build My Workshop

The Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education is here to work with you to integrate environmental education into your curriculum and increase the sustainability of your school community. We offer workshops by request, which can be tailored to your school's needs. We can build your professional development experience around classroom- or field-based training, model teaching or curriculum planning to allow your teachers to integrate forestry, energy, sustainability and general environmental education into existing curricula.

Possible ideas include:

School forest / school grounds
Learn how to maximize your school forest as a teaching and learning tool and enhance your site or outdoor classroom.

School building
Learn how to use your school building as an engaging tool for teaching about the real-world concepts of energy, renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Place-based learning
Learn how to use your building and surrounding community as an extension of your classroom. An emphasis will be on unique features at your specific site to make learning relevant.

Training on
Tree Identification
Wisconsin Standards for Environmental Literacy and Sustainability
Project Learning Tree
Green & Healthy School's nine focus areas
