The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point women’s basketball team left the court recently not only with a victory against UW-Stout but with a slam-dunk for Project Embrace by donating $4,100 to the cause at the annual Play4Kay game.

“There is no gift or fundraising event too big or too small. Together, they all make an impact in our community,” said Angie Heuck, Saint Michael’s Foundation director. “The Play4Kay game is a great example of how a community can work together for a great cause. The proceeds benefit Project Embrace; it is a project much bigger than blankets — it’s a project of comfort, inspiration and hope to our friends and neighbors during their cancer journey.”
