The UW-Stevens Point Museum of Natural History strives to be a resource for students of all ages, and the local community. It houses more than 700 pieces at any given time and offers the chance to learn from some items that wouldn't normally be found in our region.
However, the Museum of Natural History was once on the brink of extinction. It was proposed to move it or perhaps even close it at one point. A lot of collections were found all over campus, but no one had ever compiled everything to figure out what the museum really had.
