The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point College of Natural Resources worries that they could be hit particularly hard when it comes to proposed cuts to the UW System in Governor Walker's proposed state budget.
The College of Natural Resources says they stand to lose upwards of $1 million dollars in what are known as segregated funds. These funds are separate from general tax funds in that they are derived from things like casino revenue and landfill fees. That money is then passed along to the college in the form of grants.
