Music, comedy events at UW-Stevens Point
Enjoy live concerts and a comic performance at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in February through the student-run Centertainment Productions program.
All events will be held in the Encore Room at the Dreyfus University Center, 1015 Reserve St., beginning at 8 p.m. All shows are open to the public. Tickets are $5 and free for students with a UW-Stevens Point ID. February shows include:
Sick of Sarah with Define Tension, Friday, Feb. 17The women of the Minnesota quartet, Sick of Sarah, perform punk-infused pop “with a passion that is truly contagious,” says Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles (

Comedian Chad Daniels, Thursday, Feb. 23A Minnesota native, Daniels brings an edgy, take-no-prisoners style of comedy. He has been on the Late Late Show, the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, Comedy Central and has appeared at several comedy festivals (

People Brother’s Band, Friday, Feb. 24A jazz and funk band from Madison, this group blends an eclectic mix of original grooves, conscientious lyrics, soulful vocals and instrumental work with diverse self-tailored covers, from funk to soul, rock to reggae, and folk to rhythm and blues (
