‘Travel Sketchbook’ offered through UW-Stevens Point

Explore ways to keep a visual journal of your travels in a workshop offered this January by the Continuing Education Arts and Culture Outreach program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

“Travel Sketchbook” will be offered on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In this workshop, participants will learn inexpensive, portable and travel friendly ways to preserve their travel memories in a personal and creative way. Watercolor pencils, pen and ink, and other sketching supplies will be used. The workshop costs $49 and is open to teens and adult artists of all skill levels. Participants should bring a sack lunch and sketchbook.

Instructor Jane Barnard is a professional artist and member of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, Door County Art League and Wisconsin Visual Artists. She is represented by galleries in Stevens Point and Door County.
