Trampled by Turtles was formed in Duluth, Minn., in 2003 and has topped the Billboard music charts and appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman. Their acoustic bluegrass has been described as a “repertoire of rapid-fire fiddle, banjo and mandolin.” They are receiving acclaim from music publications, including Daytrotter and Esquire, for their new album, “Stars and Satellites,” available through Thirty Tigers/RED. Based out of Minneapolis, The Boys N’ The Barrels creates bluegrass music with banjo, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, upright bass and light percussion. A deep, introspective message underlines the band’s up-tempo, foot thumping melodies and hooks that explore subjects such as love, philosophy, environmentalism and death. (www.theboysnthebarrels.com)
