A new aquatic exercise class will be offered at the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this spring as part of the Special Needs
Aquatic Program (SNAP).
The Stand Strong Aquatic Exercise class is aimed at
adults looking to extend basic balance, mobility and strength. It will be
offered Mondays and Thursdays from 2-2:45 p.m. March 23-May 14.
Also offered Mondays and Thursdays during this session
is a Basic Aquatic Exercise class at 8:45 a.m. and the Arthritis Foundation
Aquatic Program at 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 4:30 p.m.
All classes are limited to 15 participants each and cost
$48. Classes are held in the therapeutic pool, adjacent to the Quandt
Fieldhouse in the UW-Stevens Point Health Enhancement Center, 2050 Fourth
Avenue.
