Bid
for Packer merchandise, local products, 90FM specialty packages and tickets to
area events as part of WWSP 90FM’s annual on-air auction at the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Radiothon
will be held between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5 and 6, as a
fundraiser for the station. More than 70 packages will be auctioned live
on-air. Listeners call 90FM student staff at 715-346-3755 to bid on packages
during the event.
Students
begin preparing for Radiothon in October as they collect donations from Stevens
Point, Plover, Wisconsin Rapids and Wausau businesses and organizations. So far
more than 100 items have been donated. Last year, the event raised $6,500 for
the general upkeep and operation of the radio station.
90FM
is the largest student-run radio station in the Midwest and broadcasts at a
