Day of the Dead marked at UW-Stevens Point’s Carlsten Gallery

The third annual Mexico-inspired Day of the Dead exhibit will be on display at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Carlsten Gallery beginning October 29.
Located in the Noel Fine Arts Center, the Carlsten Gallery will offer a free reception for this exhibit on Friday, November 2, from 5-8 p.m., featuring traditional Mexican food and live music by Mariachi Los Gavilanes.
The Day of the Dead exhibit will display three traditional Mexican altars and a collection of sugar skulls from October 29 through November 4. Free and open to the public, the gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Thursday evenings from 7–9 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 1–4 p.m. For more information, see www.uwsp.edu/art-design/Pages/Exhibitions/carlsten.aspx.
