"The Critical Function of Critical Thinking" will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, presented by Dona Warren, professor in the UW-Stevens Point Department of Philosophy. Held in the Pinery Room of the Portage County Public Library, 1001 Main St., Stevens Point, this is the seventh talk in the eight-part 2018-2019 Community Lecture Series. The public may attend free of charge.
Warren received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Minnesota. She comes from a long line of educators and is interested in anything having to do with teaching. She has a special passion for issues surrounding the teaching of critical thinking and symbolic logic.
