The artwork
of 17 graduating bachelor of fine arts (BFA) students at the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point will be displayed at the Edna Carlsten Gallery in April
and May in three separate exhibitions.
An
exhibit April 17-24 features the work of Terri Bailey, Lexi
LaLuzerne, William Mell, Anne Morgan, Cameron Zamzow and
Tim Zeszutek. Art
by Bethany Berres, Jesse Coraggio, Kendra Eckert, Brooke
Newman, Taylor Quade and Kat Skinner will be exhibited April 30-May
8. The final BFA exhibit is May 13-22 with work by Lydia Foss, Andrew
Honold, Emily Kuchenbecker, Jordan Kuhn and Erin Tate.
These
free, public exhibitions will feature selections of student work in blown and
cast glass, book making, ceramics, drawing, painting, performance, mixed media,
sculpture and video.
Artist
receptions will be held for the first show Sunday, April 24, 2-4 p.m.; for the
second on Sunday, May 8, 2-4 p.m.; and for the third on Friday, May 13, 4-7
p.m.; and Sunday, May 22, 2-4 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
Refreshments will be provided.
The
gallery is located on the second floor of the Noel Fine Arts Center. It is open
to the public free of charge Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.,
Thursday from 7-9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 -4 p.m.
Also
on Friday, May 13, in addition to the BFA students, both senior interior
architecture and graphic design students will exhibit their portfolios for the
public as well as employers in these fields. Interior architecture students
will display work in the upper balcony of the Noel Fine Arts Center and those
in graphic design will exhibit in lower courtyard from 4-7 p.m.
