Arts Bash 2012 supports students in the arts
An over-the-top evening of visual art, design, dance and theatre experiences will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Arts Bash 2012 will be held at the Noel Fine Arts Center from 7 to 10:30 p.m., featuring student dance and theatre performances, an art sale, wearable sculpture fashion show, demonstrations, fine food and drinks. The primary fundraiser for the Departments of Theatre & Dance and Art & Design, Arts Bash has raised more than $250,000 for student scholarships and programs since its inception in 2003. All proceeds from the event support students through the two departments and the Arts Bash Scholarship Endowment Fund.
A sale of donated artworks by professional artists, faculty, alumni and current students from the Department of Art and Design will begin at 7 p.m., followed by student performances at 7:30 p.m. A dance party will begin around 9:30 p.m. with the event ending at 10:30 p.m.
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine and beer will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Guests are encouraged to wear expressive attire.
