“Copier Toner Drawing” held Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 6–8 p.m. for $25, explores the use of copier toner to create the rich tonal value of charcoal drawing without the use of messy fixative. Participants, ages 14 to adult, will create a ready-to-frame masterpiece. Instructor Sandra Siebers has taught art classes in Wisconsin high schools and technical colleges for 30 years and has a master’s degree in art history from UW-Milwaukee.
“Mixed Media Painting” offered Tuesdays, Nov. 8 through Dec. 13, from 6:30–8:30 p.m., is for ages 14 to adult. Both beginners and experienced painters will use India ink, acrylic paints, gouache and pastels to create color, lines, shapes and forms that express creativity and uniqueness. The class is $99 and includes all materials. The instructor, Elizabeth Wellso, is a member of the Stevens Point Arts Council and chairs the Stevens Point Sculpture Park. She has taught drawing and painting at UW-Stevens Point art camps and has worked as a gallery consultant and teaching assistant. She earned a bachelor’s degree at Hampshire College.
