Academic Coaching
What is Academic Coaching?
Does this sound familiar?
- I don't know how to study in college.
- I just need help getting started on my homework.
- I feel overwhelmed and disorganized.
- I can't seem to stay on top of my online coursework.
- I need a distraction-free study space.
We can help! Academic Coaching provides opportunities for students who need a bit of support and accountability. If you are looking for strategies in
time management, study skills, test-taking or issues with test anxiety, motivation, textbook comprehension, or issues with learning online or learning from home, then Academic Coaching can help.
How does it work? Ready for a study session?
- Make an appointment with a Peer Academic Coach or an Academic Coaching Coordinator through Navigate.
- Bring in your laptop, notes, books, and other supplies you will need to prepare. Work with an academic coach to get organized, find a good study method, ask to be quizzed, and have various check-ins to see how you're doing.
- You can also use the low-distraction, open study space in CCC 336 (Study Hub) to work independently or with a Peer Academic Coach.
Who is the TLC Study Hub space for? Any UWSP student taking online or in-person courses looking for support.
