Lab Services
Open during regular clinic hours, our laboratory offers a wide range of services including phlebotomy and convenient on-site testing. Many of the tests performed on-site are covered by the segregated fee for Student Health Service, therefore are offered at no additional cost to the student.
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- Urinalysis
- Rapid Strep, Mononucleosis, and COVID-19
- Urine Culture
- Throat Culture
More comprehensive laboratory tests can be conveniently collected at Student Health Service and referred to one of our reference laboratories for analysis. The cost for these tests will be discussed with the patient by their clinician prior to ordering. Tests sent to one of our reference laboratories will be billed to the student's account and the student will be responsible for payment. Upon request, a copy of the bill can be provided to the student for submission to their insurance company.
Our laboratory also provides laboratory services for student's external clinician orders.
For external orders to be collected at Student Health Service:
- The ordering clinician must fax the laboratory order to Student Health Service (SHS) at 715-346-4752 or email the order to health.services.office@uwsp.edu
- The clinicians name and "fax to" is included with the laboratory order to ensure the results can be faxed from SHS to the ordering clinician.
