Supporting a strong and robust co-curricular experience is at the forefront of every higher education institution and UWSP is no exception. The UWSP Division of Student Affairs provides students with transformational living and learning experiences.

Philanthropic support makes such experiences possible. Focused investments in the below key areas will elevate our success in delivering outstanding students affairs programming for all UWSP students. Scholarships & Aid

By providing targeted funding for scholarships and aid that is responsive to students' individual financial needs, including emergency support, students can stay focused on earning the outstanding education that UWSP offers.

Minority Student Scholarship Support: This scholarship fund supports underrepresented students by promoting their academic and personal growth, offering opportunities to succeed at UWSP, while directly aimed at improving their retention and graduation rates.

Native American Student Scholarship Support: This scholarship fund supports students of Native American background, by enhancing their academic growth, retention and opportunities to succeed at UWSP, in an effort to guide them to graduation.

Residence Halls Scholarship Support: This scholarship fund supports students who display quality leadership skills within the residence hall community.

Emergency & Crisis Relief Fund: Gifts to this fund are aimed at providing short term assistance to students who have experienced an unexpected loss or expense that jeopardizes their ability to continue their education at UWSP.

Funding goals of gifts between $1,000-$10,000 provides the building blocks for a student's foundation of lifelong success and a quality of life component that is essential for continued learning.  

Gifts of $25,000 in an endowment will annually provide a $1,000 scholarship, while a similar amount as an unrestricted gift will provide flexibility for university staff to direct scholarship funds for the most significant impact.

Programming Initiatives/Program Specific Support   

As advocates and champions for students, The Division of Student Affairs strives to secure resources that allow us to create, tailor, and execute programming initiatives to meet students' evolving needs, supporting them in building a foundation for lifelong and personal success. UWSP specific programs also aid in promoting student engagement and holistic campus experiences that encourage academic and personal growth.

Student Affairs General Fund: Gifts to this fund broadly support programs and activities within the Division of Student Affairs, to provide the best university experiences possible for our students.

Student Health Services Support Fund: To provide support for students receiving health services and medical care at UW-Stevens Point, including awareness and preventative care, to preserve and promote the quality of life for all students.

Residential Living Support Fund: To provide support for students to enhance educational and developmental experiences and ensuring well-maintained living environments and outstanding service to our students.

Dining Services Support Fund: Gifts to this fund provide support for students to enhances the educational experience by creating sustainable meals and nourishing a diverse community through special events and student employment.

University Centers Support Fund: Gifts to this fund provide support for co-curricular experiences and programming efforts that fall underneath the University Centers, including campus activities, student organizations, recreational programs (club sports and intramurals), and University Center Student Employment Leadership.

Helen Godfrey Child Care Development Fund: Helen Godfrey was the founder of the University Child Learning and Care Center at UWSP. Gifts to the Helen Godfrey Child Care Development Fund goes to support education program improvements, physical learning space improvements and scholarships.

Upward Bound: Funds will be used to increase the overall quality of the Upward Bound Program; a pre-college program that provides underrepresented students with academic, cultural, and personal support for the purposes of high school graduation, postsecondary enrollment, and lifelong success in a diverse world.

Funding goals of gifts between $1,000-$10,000 provide quality support and resources that are essential to enhancing the experiences of all UWSP students in these focused areas.

Gifts of $25,000 in an endowment will perpetually provide $1,000 in support of a specific program area, while a similar amount as an unrestricted gift will provide flexibility for university staff to direct funds for the most significant impact.

Counseling Center Services & Program Support Fund

The UWSP Counseling Center provides services to students to help them navigate unexpected stressors, resolve personal concerns and address mental health and well-being. All our staff's efforts aim to ensure positive experiences revolving around our student's social, emotional and developmental well-being, as well as sound academic performance.

Funding goals of gifts between $2,500-$25,000 will provide significant resources for Counseling Center staff to address each student's individual needs and respond to on-campus emergencies, through educational tools, training and prevention programming.

Gifts of $25,000 in an endowment will perpetually provide $1,000 in support of the necessary resources and services provided to students through the Counseling Center.
