Visitors

There is no free parking available on campus due to limited space. Visitors are encouraged to utilize meter parking at $1.00 an hour in the lots or $0.75 an hour on the streets, or to work with the hosting individual/department to find parking arrangements. Admissions visitors parking is arranged through the admissions office.

Daily Fees:  Guests of students or faculty/staff are eligible to purchase daily parking for $6/day.  Fees can be paid in the Parking Services office prior to parking on campus with CASH OR CHECK ONLY.  

Guest parking can also be pre-arranged and ordered by a department and paid via university account transfer.  Email request to Parking.Services.Office@uwsp.edu (you can use the link at the bottom of the page after "direct comments to") and be sure to include host name, where (which parking lot) and when visitor will be on campus, vehicle license plate and description, along with account number to be charged.

Metered Parking UWSP Lots:  Metered lots are located conveniently throughout campus at $1.00/hour. 

  • Smartphone Payment:  All of the UWSP campus lot metered stalls may be paid via the Passport Parking App (see instructions below) -- make sur​e to correctly input the ZONE number and License Plate.
  • Coin Payment:   Coins are still accepted at some meters in Lots F-East,​ G, R, T and Z.  LOOK FOR THE YELLOW TOPS IN THE LOTS.

Campus metered stalls are enforced Monday-Friday, 2 a.m.-7 p.m. and vary by maximum limit (4 or 12 hours). Overnight parking in meter lots is not allowed. If you find a malfunctioning meter, please contact the Parking Services office.

Lot F-East (Zone #290) - Entrance from Reserve St., north of 4th Ave., east side of the Champions Hall, (4 hour limit)

​​Lot G (Zone #292) - Entrance from Illinois Ave., behind the Allen Center, (4 hour limit)

Lot R (Zone #293) - Entrances from Phillips St., Portage St., and Reserve St., West of the Dreyfus University Center and South of Albertson Hall (University Library) and the Noel Fine Arts Center. (12 hour limit). Enforced 2 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Lot T (Zone #296) - Entrances from Illinois Ave., Reserve St., and 4th Ave., Located south of Pray-Sims hall, near the Champions Hall and the Chemistry-Biology Building. (12 hour limit)

Lot Z (Zone #295) - Entrance from High St. Adjacent to the Dreyfus University Center. (4 hour limit)

Streets are metered and monitored by the City of Stevens Point Police department. The current rate is $0.75/hour and utilizes pay stations which accept cash or card, in addition to the Pay-by-Cell with Passport.  The streets around campus are Zone 1503. (If you have selected Zone 1503 you are not authorized in any of the Campus Lots--only on the streets.)

Event Parking permits can be obtained by completing an Event Parking Request form and submitting to Parking Services prior to the event. Use the link below to complete and submit your form. 

​Individuals with state Disabled placards may park in GUEST HANDICAP STALLS. Certain stalls are marked for Disabled-Campus Permit Holders. State Disabled placards are also valid in any campus meter without payment.
​Vehicles with state, municipal, and federal government plates can park in any permit area (not meter stalls) without informing Parking Services. Any vehicle with these plates parked in a metered area MUST plug the meter.
