OIRE collects, analyzes, and reports data pertaining to student enrollment, demographics, and activities. The data are provided by interactive dashboards designed with PowerBI.

10th Day Fall Enrollment

OIRE takes fall enrollment counts for undergraduate and graduate students on the official census date which is usually 10 days after the commencementof the academic year. This snapshot taken at the beginning of the term (BOT) is used for external reporting of fall enrollment to UW-System, Common Data Set (CDS), and others. OIRE takes another tally at the end of the term (EOT). Enrollment indicators include undergraduate, new Freshmen or first-year, transfer, returning, resident, non-resident, graduate, special, degree-seeking, and non-degree-seeking students.

Non-Traditional Students Enrollment

OIRE collects, analyzes, and reports data pertaining to non-traditional students. Non-traditional students are generally defined as those who are aged 25 or older when they begin their undergraduate studies for the first time. We include those who are also enrolled in post-baccaluareate and graduate programs and non-degree-seeking. Non-traditional enrollment indicators include age, academic career level (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Post-Baccalaureate, Graduate, Special Student), gender, college, major/degree program,  and courseload.

Graduate

OIRE collects, analyzes, and reports data pertaining to graduate students. Graduate student enrollment indicators include academic career level (masters, doctoral, special), program, gender, residency, and courseload.

Diversity

​OIRE collects, analyzes, and reports data pertaining to diversity of the student population at a given term or over a period of time (trends). Diversity indicators include underrepresented minority, gender, first generation, non-resident, and international student enrollments.

Student Statistics - UW System (Headcount, FTE, Degrees Conferred of UWSP & other UW universities)

The University of Wisconsin System Interactive Reports provide visualized answers to general questions about UW-System and each campus's student headcount, full-time equivalent enrollments (FTE), retention, graduate, and degrees conferred. The reports may include information by single year or multi-year, institution, student academic level and classification, gender, race/ethnicity, full-/part-time status, geographic origin, and, resident status.
