​View Or Request Changes To​​​​​ Electronic Lock Access

Most electronic lock permissions are automated based on department, role, course enrollment, or major/minor. A​dditional permissions can be manually added and removed with supervisor approval and other approvals depending on the requested access change​​​.

Employees and Supervisors

R​equest Addition or Removal of Manual Permissions

​Employees should first contact their supervisor regarding which door lock access permissions they need​ prior to submitting the e-form.

  1. Sign into the Electronic Lock Access Request e-form.​​

  2. Select Add Access or Remove Access.​

  3. Add your supervisor's name in the Supervisor field then select them from the list.

    If you are a Department Information Manager (DIM) or a Supervisor, you should select "Request for: Someone Else" and add both the Name of the employee who the request is for, and the employee's Supervisor.

  4. Below Access Group, select the lock group for the requested access change.

  5. Add a reason for the request.

  6. Click Submit.​

View Current Permissions

    Sign into the Electronic Lock Access Req​​ues​t e-form and select Add Access.​​

    • To view your own permissions:

      Scroll down to your Existing Access Groups. The Method column shows your existing automated and manual ​lock permissions.​​

    • (Supervisors only) To view an employee's permissions,

      1. ​​in the Add Access section select Someone Else

      2. In the Name field, begin typing the employee's​ name then select them​ from the list that displays.

      3. Scroll down to Existing Access Groups. The Method column will list the employee's existing automated and manual ​lock permissions.

 

​Students

Please contact the IT Service Desk if you have questions regarding your current electronic lock access.  If you need lock access to an area for a class or work, please reach out to the department who manages the area you are seeking access to.
