An Introduction to ZIMS for Animal Record Keeping

Species360 ZIMS (Zoological Information Management Software) is web-based application used to systematically gather and share zoological information to help zoos, and other captive wildlife facilities, achieve their animal management and conservation goals. This management software stores, and shares, animal inventories; individual animal data, including veterinary records; and enclosure information. Information derived from Species360 ZIMS can be used to compile the information needed for various permits.
This workshop will provide a general over of ZIMS applications including: entering individual animal data, tracking feeding, enclosures, and much more!

Animal care professionals (zoo, wildlife rehabilitation, sanctuary) and captive wildlife students. Previous experience with ZIMS is not required.
