Welcome to the May 9th, 2020 Trip to see the musical “The Band’s Visit” at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, followed by a fantastic dinner at Fratellos! We are happy that you are joining us for this entertaining theatrical experience, and hope that you will enjoy your seats in the first balcony, rows E and F. “The Band's Visit” is one of four musicals in Broadway history to win the unofficial "Big Six" Tony Awards, which include Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, Best Actor in a Musical, Best Actress in a Musical, and Best Direction of a Musical. It also won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

  • $149 per person 
The price of this trip includes the coach bus, show ticket, and meal/tax/gratuity at Fratellos. An envelope will be passed on the return trip for an optional bus driver tip.

Trip Information


This show has a run time of one hour and forty minutes. There is no intermission for this show.

The Fox Cities Performing Art Center will be showing the hit Broadway musical, The Band's Visit. 

Transportation

The bus ride to Appleton is roughly an hour, so we will not stop on the way. We will arrive with plenty of time for you to stretch your legs and check out everything the theater has to offer before showtime!

For Marshfield Participants:

Bus Loading Location: Faculty/Staff Lot in front of Everett Roehl STEM Building (Click here for map

Bus Departure from Marshfield: 10:30 a.m.

For Stevens Point Participants:

Bus Loading Location: Parking lot in front of Dunham’s (HWY 10, Stevens Point)
Bus Loading Time: 11:15 a.m. (please be on time)
Bus Departure from Stevens Point: 11:30 a.m.

Dinner

After the show, we will have dinner at Fratellos on the River. You have already selected one of the following three entrees:
  • Sirloin: 8 oz choice boneless top sirloin on a maple bourbon sauté of potato, carrot, and brussels sprouts topped with haystack onions.
  • Seared Scallops: Pan seared scallops, pork belly, potatoes, mushroom and asparagus sauté with a Florentine sauce and fried parsnips.
  • Seafood Mac & Cheese: Sustainable white shrimp, crab, Andouille sausage with cavatappi pasta and Cajun 3-cheese sauce.
All meals include a soda, ice cream, and gratuity.

Since we make financial commitments in advance, no refunds will be issued for cancellations. However, you must send a substitute in your place. Please email us at uwspcelife@uwsp.edu to inform us of the situation.
