STEAM Point Day for Boys Virtual Exhibitor Information

STEAM Point Day for Boys is going virtual this year! The Virtual Exhibit Hall will be accessible to students on November 6, 2020, from 8-9 a.m. Exhibitors at STEAM Point Day for Boys provide fun, engaging exhibits to introduce students to STEAM as soon as they walk in the virtual door! On-campus departments and off campus profit/nonprofit organizations are welcome to participate at no cost.

Each exhibit should be age appropriate for student in 7 and 8 grade, be creative and be educationally related to STEAM. Virtual exhibitors will conduct a 15-20 minute exhibit for students to observe and ask questions.

Exhibit exploration is only held at the STEAM Point Day for Boys in November and the STEAM Point Day for Girls in February from 8-9 a.m. Exhibits are not part of STEAM Point Day at Treehaven because the conference schedule is shorter.

Designing Your Virtual Booth

We encourage you to be as creative as you can when designing your virtual booth. To get you started, see the suggested "sections" indicated below. If you would like to have a different section, go for it! Let us know what you are looking for, and we will be happy to assist and make it happen.

Send us the section information via email all at once or bit-by-bit. Whichever is easiest for you. Email the information to Dotty Mansavage at dotty.mansavage@uwsp.edu.

The Virtual Booth provides six suggested sections of content. Font styles are set in SharePoint but there is flexibility in font colors.

Section 1: About Us
This section allows the exhibitor to display their logo as well as a brief summary of their mission, purpose, or any other descriptive text about the organization.

Section 2 and Section 3: Video
Both sections allow the exhibitor to display an embedded You Tube or Vimeo video. Either section can be replaced with an image or text.

Section 4: Chat with Us!
If you have access to a Zoom meeting room or other platform that allows you to provide a standard web link to join a virtual meeting, you can invite students to join you live! This is a great way to have some live interaction with the students. Exhibitors will need to set up their own Zoom link and email the link to Dotty Mansavage at dotty.mansavage@uwsp.edu for posting.

Section 5: Resources
This section allows you to display up to four (4) download files.

Section 6: Contact Us
This section allows you to display your mailing address, web address, and contact email address.

Exhibitors receive:

  • One, six-foot table with two chairs (or two tables/four chairs upon request)
  • Access to electrical (upon request)
  • Event folder and nametags
  • Table signage indicating your organization's name
