Plants for Pollinators: Creating a Pollinator's Paradise June 28, 2019 | 9 a.m. - Noon
Schmeeckle Reserve, Stevens Point, WI
Have you ever wondered which plants provide the best food for pollinators or which plant combinations provide the best cover? If so, then join Sophie Demchik, expert extraordinaire, on an exploration of pollinators and their unique habitat requirements.
In this hands-on workshop you will learn what attracts bees and other pollinators, how to alter your garden to attract more pollinators, and how to identify plants and plant characteristics important to pollinators. Plus, you will learn how to identify the 13 most common bees of Wisconsin. All, while enjoying the beauty of Schmeeckle Reserve.
The workshop will include a short, half-hour walking tour. During the tour you will gain first hand exposure to pollinator habitat, learn how to identify good pollinator habitat, as well as hone your pollinator and plant identification skills.
