The UWSP-Wausau Jazz Ensemble is a blend of university student and community members. Through performance preparation, members learn jazz styles and ensemble playing. Styles include big band swing, latin, jazz waltz, ballads and contemporary jazz. There is also opportunity for students who wish to grow in their improvisation skills. The ensemble performs two concerts per semester.

Cancellation Policy


Refunds will be made if the Continuing Education office is contacted at least 7 days before the start of class. No refunds with less than 7 days’ notice. Programs that involve pre-ordering of materials and travel will not qualify for any refund unless your space can be filled from a waiting list. We reserve the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment, severe weather or instructor illness. A refund will be issued under any of these conditions. BE SURE to provide your email address and phone number during registration so that we may contact you if a class is canceled for any reason!
