Greetings, Theater Lovers! Welcome to the May 19, 2023, trip to see the highly acclaimed production of “Hamilton” at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton! We hope that you join us for this award-winning theatrical experience with trip leaders Jennifer Hess and Kelly Bird. The seats are in Row V and W of the Center Orchestra, and Row B and A of the Front Dress Circle. This show has a run time of 2 hours, 45 minutes including one intermission. Before the show, we will have dinner at Pullmans At Trolley Square.

HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

Bus Transportation

The bus trip from Stevens Point to Appleton takes one hour. We will not stop on the way.

Bus Loading Location: Parking lot in front of Dunhams, corner closest to McDonald's (HWY 10, Stevens Point)
Bus Loading Time: 3:30 p.m. (please be on time)
Bus Departure from Stevens Point: 3:35 p.m.

Bus Loading Location: UWSP at Marshfield, 2000 W. 5th St., East Parking Lot behind school off of UW Drive. (Parking passes not required.)

 Theater Policies


COVID-19: COVID-19 related health protocols may be in effect at the time of performance, including, without limitation, required: mask or face coverings, temperature checks, testing, confirmation of prior travel to restricted areas and/or confirmation of no known symptoms of and exposure to COVID-19. We reserve the right to unilaterally make changes to health protocols according to updated public health guidance and law. Any ticket holder who does not comply with any COVID-19 related health protocol may be required to leave the theater, and his/her ticket will not be refunded. 

Bag Policy: Bags/purses with dimensions of 8.5x11x5 or smaller allowed but may be subject to search, childcare products (diaper bag, bottles, cups, snacks) (patrons must be accompanied by a child)-subject to search, and prescription medicines and devices allowed-but may be subject to search.  For additional information on the bag policy, visit the Bag Policy page.

Carry-Ins: Food and beverages (i.e., soda, water bottles, snacks, drinks) are prohibited.

Select one of the following five entrees (each meal includes side salad, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage):

  • Haddock - Deep fried with house tarter
  • Haddock - Broiled with butter
  • Wild Mushroom Ravioli - Cremini and portobello stuffed ravioli, sauteed mushroom and onion, sun dried tomato, and asparagus; topped with a garlic and herb cream sauce
  • Bruschetta Chicken - Chicken, melted provolone, house bruschetta mix, basil, and balsamic glaze
  • Tuscan Shrimp - Sauteed shrimp, mushrooms, spinach, asparagus, onion, and sun-dried tomato; tossed with penne noodles in garlic cream sauce
