Details​


College Days for Kids is a program designed for high-ability sixth and seventh graders. Participants must be selected and registered by their school or teacher to attend. This year, the program will take place online via Zoom, a free web conference application.
  • Attend multiple workshops of your choice online via Zoom.
  • Virtually explore UW-Stevens Point campus and see/hear what it's like to be a UW-Stevens Point student.
  • Enjoy a keynote presentation and interact with youth from all over Wisconsin.

Requirements: High speed internet, computer/laptop/device with microphone and camera, free Zoom app—see our Zoom Tutorial webpage for how to install and use.

Dave Barbier
Sustainability Coordinator, UW-Stevens Point

Dave is a professional administrator, educator, and facilitator with expertise in sustainability, project development and completion, Higher Education and Experiential Education. He has been an environmental advocate for over 20 years and is currently directing the Office of Sustainability at UW-Stevens Point. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Office of Sustainability. The office employees both professional and student staff who report directly to Dave. The office oversees all sustainability reporting related to campus efforts as well as the development of campus focused sustainability improvements and initiatives. The office has earned a strong reputation on campus and in the state due to the number of accolades and recognition that have been received by the office in the last five years

Scholarships


Scholarships are limited and available only to students upon written recommendation by a teacher, parent, or school administrator. Scholarship requests must include the name of the student in need of scholarship, a reason for the request, and the school's name. Email written recommendations to Rebecca Bauer (rebecca.bauer@uwsp.edu), Program Manager with Continuing Education and Outreach, to request a scholarship.

Cancellation Policy


Full refunds will be made upon written request to uwspceweb@uwsp.edu and sbarrett@uwsp.edu prior to event registration deadline. No refunds will be given if the cancellation notice is received after event registration deadline. Substitutions can be made at any time, but no shows will be responsible for the full workshop fee. 

We reserve the right to cancel due to low enrollment, severe weather, or instructor illness. A refund will be issued under any of these conditions. BE SURE to provide your email address and phone number during registration so that we may contact you if a class is cancelled for any reason.
