Self-care enables caregivers to be balanced so that they are capable of seeing different possibilities, keep fit so that if and when a crisis happens, they are ready to handle it, and is central in the prevention and recovery from burnout and compassion fatigue, as caregivers are exposed to stressors all the time. In this webinar, we will address caregivers' unique self-care needs and challenges and offer you a matrix to coach these clients to create a sustainable self-care plan and improve their resilience and quality of life.

Coaching Employees who are Family CaregiversRegister Online!

Tuesday, July 2, 2024 | 12 - 1 p.m.

When considering workplace wellness, we often focus on preventing future health issues or supporting employees returning from sick leave. However, there’s another vital group: employees who are caregivers, assisting loved ones with daily activities due to illness, disability, old age, or mental disorders. Caregiving brings significant, often invisible stress, known as ‘Caregiver Stress Syndrome’ or ‘Compassion Fatigue,’ leading to extreme burnout. As coaches, it’s crucial to recognize and support these employees through their caregiving challenges alongside their work-related stressors.

Tamar Meisel

When a loved one’s health is compromised, your role, that of the caregiver, is vital.  The support you give is a source of stability and strength for your loved one, who is thrust by illness into a confusing medical maze. How can you best fill your role?

I coach caregivers just like you. In the process of our coaching, I will coach you in how to get support, find your voice, communicate with the medical team and your loved ones, explore possibilities on how to acquire the tools you need to help your loved one and to help yourself.

I am an MCI Mentor and I co-created and co-train the MCI Caregiver Coach Training Course. I combine over a decade of coaching experience, a background in Human Resources, life experiences as a parent, daughter, life-partner and business owner, with empathy, compassion, and practical tools to effectively work with individuals suffering from illness and those who care for them.
