Small City Analysis Minor

Consists of a minimum of 22 credits:

1.    Core courses, 12 credits:

        a.     Required: 6-12 credits from Econ 374; Geography 373; Geography 388 or NRES 388 or Geography 389 or NRES 389 ; Poli Sci 341; Sociology 300, 356.

        b.     Electives: 0-6 credits from Forestry 444; Geography 370, 372, 378, 496; NRES 474, 495; Poli Sci 242; Sociology 357, 360.

2.    Analytic skills, 6 credits:

        a..    Research methods: 3-4 credits from  Geography 276, 279, 476. 477; Poli Sci 203, 497; Sociology 351, 352; Psychology 300; Math 355.

        b.     Policy analysis/management: 3 credits from Business 320; Poli Sci 250, 397.

3.    Internship or independent research on small cities:
3 credits from Poli Sci 455, 499; Sociology 497 or 498; Geography 395, 399, 480 or 491, or NRES 499.

4.    Seminar or colloquium on small cities--: one credit approved by one of the coordinators.
