Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame

The Schmeeckle Visitor Center is home to the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame. Wisconsin is a leader in conservation policy and education. In 1984, the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame (WCHF) was founded to honor men and women who have made significant contributions to the environmental legacy of the state.

In 1990, Schmeeckle Reserve partnered with the WCHF, and a large addition was constructed onto the visitor center. The addition included conservation history exhibits, a formal hall of fame gallery, meeting room, and cedar sign shop.
