About
Max Reinhardt received his BFA with Honors in
Ceramics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001 and his MFA
from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006, where he went on to
teach in the Ceramics and Design Departments for 4 years. In 2011 he left
Chicago to teach at the Pratt Institute of Art and Design as a Visiting Artist
Professor for 2 years as well as pursue his career as an artist, curator and
designer.
Max has exhibited nationally and internationally and has had
solo exhibitions in Chicago, New York City and in Oregon where he moved from
recently with his wife to North Central Wisconsin. He has received many
awards, grants, scholarships and commissions and has most recently been
published in the Ford Family Foundation book New Art Oregon in relation to a
residency at Southern Oregon University. Max currently lives and works in
Wausau, WI in the fields of ceramics, sculpture, curation, design and
education.
