Welcome to the Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for​ Academic Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UW-Stevens Point). Our mission is to support the outstanding work of UW-Stevens Point’s faculty and staff in fostering student success, providing enriching learning experiences, and enhancing their own professional development.

The Provost serves as UW-Stevens Point’s chief academic officer, providing oversight for the university’s five colleges, its many academic programs, and its faculty and instructional academic staff.

The Provost’s Office is responsible for numerous functions related to teaching and learning, including:

• academic planning
• program review
• accreditation
• general education
  
• assessment of student learning

Faculty and staff will also find help with professional enrichment, including instructional development, pedagogical innovation, as well as research, grants, and extramural funding.

Finally, the Provost’s Office serves as a resource for personnel issues, including those related to:

• hiring
• appointment types
• retention, tenure and promotion.
