Marburg, Germany
Marburg is located in Hessen, a region of central Germany. This town has its origins in the middle ages and was the regional capital for several decades in the early modern period. As such, Marburg is known as an exciting location full of history, well-known for being the site of the oldest protestant university. Oaxaca, Mexico
The Summer in Oaxaca program offers Spanish language majors and minors the opportunity to experience the richness of Mexican culture and civilization through a ten-week intensive summer language study program. All academic studies are arranged through the Instituto Cultural Oaxaca.
The Instituto Cultural Oaxaca is the ideal school for you to learn Spanish as a second language in Mexico. Since 1984, the Instituto has given intensive Spanish language programs to students from all over the world, in the lively cultural setting of Oaxaca. The Instituto is located in a welcoming 19th century estate house surrounded by private gardens in the colonial center of the city.
Spanish language classes with native speakers are conducted entirely in Spanish to motivate the students to develop their language abilities, creating proficiency in communication.
In addition to Spanish language classes, students have the opportunity to participate in cultural workshops and activities, in the Intercambio program with members of the community and in excursions to nearby places of interest. Students enjoy their stay in the home of a Oaxacan family.
