Collaborative Language Program

The UW-System Collaborative Language Program makes less commonly taught languages (LCTLs) available to students at all UW campuses through distributed learning technologies. UW-Stevens Point participates in this program by having one of our faculty teach Chinese.  We also receive Japanese and Russian.  Each course is facilitated by a qualified speaker of that language from a UW-System campus.

Languages taught at UW-Stevens Point and sent to other campuses:

Chinese: taught by Remya Sarma-Traynor

German: taught by Tom Leek

Languages received at UW-Stevens Point from other campuses:

French: sent from UW-Whitewater, taught by Shelia Turek

German: sent from UW-La Crosse, taught by Shelley Hay

Japanese: sent from UW-River Falls, taught by Magara Maeda

Russian: sent from UW-LaCrosse, taught by Natalia Roberts
