Guaranteed Transfer

You can begin your education as a freshman at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Wausau and receive "guaranteed" admission to another UW System institution as a junior by participating in the UW System Guaranteed Transfer Admission Program. After fulfilling certain credit and grade point average requirements, you will transfer with the same rights and privileges as those who begin their education at the four-year institutions.

Please note: the process differs for students planning to transfer to UW-Madison.

How to Participate

Below are the UW System Guaranteed transfer admission procedures for the 2019-2020 academic year:
 
Student procedures:
1. Review information on the UW System Guaranteed Transfer Admission web page
2. Download the Declaration of Intent to Participate form
3. Complete and print the PDF form
4. Submit the form to a branch campus Solution Center

UW-Madison

For students who have enrolled at UW-Stevens Point at Wausau Fall 2020 or later and plan to transfer to UW-Madison, see the transfer agreement requirements HERE. Please contact your Academic Adviser with any questions regarding the Guaranteed Transfer Program to UW-Madison.  

Transfer of Classes

The guarantee of admission applies only to the institution and not to the specific program or major. Your adviser can help you in choosing courses that will best fulfill your needs for transfer.

Transferring to Four-year Institutions

Students will be allowed to participate in the Guaranteed Transfer Program with only one four-year institution.
