Transportation is vital to our campus activities and it is a source of greenhouse gas emissions. UW-Stevens Point strategies to reduce and offset emissions include reducing student and staff commuting to campus, increase the percent of the population that use alternative forms of transportation, decrease single occupancy travel, reduce the miles traveled for official business by faculty and staff, reduce emissions associated with fleet operations and offset air travel for faculty, staff and international student travel.

Using surveys and data collected on transportation methods, the following table shows an estimate of how students and employees commute to campus.
