Hello, future Art and Art History students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point! All incoming students who declare a BA or BFA in Art and Art History major can apply for scholarships up to $1000.00 USD.

Deadline for the Fall 2022 semester deadline is March 31, 2022.

Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Applicants who apply before the due dates will be given priority consideration.



APPLICATION PROCESS

Applicants for Art and Art History scholarships need to communicate their interest in studying in the Art and Art History BA or BFA program at UW-Stevens Point by writing a letter of intent and through a visual portfolio with examples of their creative work.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Letter of Interest

    • A short statement, no more than half a page which states whether you will be pursuing a BA or a BFA in Art and Art History and your emphasis interest. (Students can choose to emphasize an Integrative Studio track or an Art History track. State why you are interested in the Art and Art History degree. Save the document as a PDF.
    • Name document as follows: Last name-first name-Incoming2022-AAH-scholarshipapplication.pdf

  • Portfolio of Visual Work

    • 5 to 8 images on a single file PDF, landscape or horizontal orientation. Use each page for each individual project
    • Images are to be of creative work from the past two years
    • Be sure to label each image with the name of project or title, media, size, and year of completion
    • Save the document as a PDF, name document as follows: Lastname-firstname-Portfolio-2022-AHH-scholarship.pdf
    • Size of portfolio no more than 15 MB

  • Copy of High School or College transcript

    (unofficial is fine; you can scan it or take a picture and save as a pdf)

  • Letter of Recommendation

    (optional, you can also scan or take a picture and save as a pdf) — from teacher or mentor
