SpectrumU

UW-Stevens Point is giving access to the application "SpectrumU" which will allow on-campus students to watch live TV from Charter directly on their Android or iOS device.

Overview

Q: What is the SpectrumU app?

The SpectrumU app is a mobile application that allows you to stream 50 live TV channels on your mobile device, so long as you are on UW-Stevens Point's internet network.

Q: What mobile devices can I use with the app?

The app works Apple iOS devices and Android devices.

Q: What do I need to use the app?

You will need to download the SpectrumU app from the Apple app store (iOS) or the Play Store (Android) and the ability to access the University's wireless network. If you have a Roku, Fire Stick, etc. you will need to download the Spectrum TV app.

Q: How do I use the application?

Open the application via your app menu or a shortcut, click accept and start watching!

To change channels, you can select channels by scrolling through the "All Channels" option. Otherwise, should you want additional information you can find the icon on the top left corner of the screen and select "Guide" and select a channel.

Q: Why doesn't the SpectrumU app work off-campus?

You must be connected to the UWSP network in order to gain access. This ensures our Housing and Residence Life students have the access they need to run the program.

Q: Why are there some channels not available to watch on the SpectrumU app?

For the same reasons you can't watch live channels outside the university (see above). Additional channels will be made available as able.
