2021 High School Honor Band

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Department of Music is proud to announce the UW-Stevens Point Honor Band Festival which will be held in February, 2021. This festival will have 2 tracks of both virtual and in person and will give high school musicians a variety of opportunities to work and interact with the students and faculty of UW-Stevens Point. Virtual Electives will include topics such as audio recording fundamentals, managing performance anxiety, effective practice strategies, and more! The festival should be a valuable experience for any high school student who is interested in majoring in music performance, music education, or simply wants to continue performing at the college level. 

February 9 and 11, 2021

4-6 p.m. Virtual sessions only, Participant Cost: $20


Saturday February 13, 2021

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Virtual and In person sessions*
Participant Cost: $40

* In-person participation will be limited to meet COVID-19 guidelines.
Students selected through video submission for in-person will also 
attend the virtual events before coming to campus.

Directions

Highway 66 from the West:  
  • Follow Highway 66 east (Clark Street) through four traffic lights
  • Proceed one more block from the Division Street intersection (Business Hwy 51) to Phillips St.
  • Turn left on Phillips Street
  • Park in Lot Q, or north end of lot P
Interstate 39 from the East/North/South:
  • Take the Business Hwy 51 Exit from I-39 (Exit #161)
  • Follow Business Hwy 51(Division St.) through 3 traffic lights
  • Turn left on Portage Street
  • Park in Lot Q, or north end of lot P
Highway 66 from the East:
  • Follow Highway 66 west (Main Street) through seven traffic lights
  • Proceed four more blocks from the Michigan Avenue intersection to Phillips Street
  • Turn right on Phillips Street
  • Park in Lot Q, or north end of lot P
