Get Involved with Local Organizations

  • Central Rivers Farmshed: Central Rivers Farmshed is a nonprofit organization representing all aspects of the food system whose members are committed to making Central Wisconsin a renowned, local food community.
  • Wisconsin Local Foods Network: The WLFN is a collection of individuals and organizations (hopefully you) that all share a common vision for Wisconsin: a state that offers communities and businesses a local food system that supports sustainable farms of all sizes, a strong infrastructure for those farms and supporting food business to thrive, and affordable access to healthy locally grown food for ALL Wisconsin residents.
  • Portage County Can: Portage County Can aims to support individuals and organizations that take action and to increase physical activity and healthy food choices. We provide ways for Portage County to network and share ideas and success stories, to create change you want to see in the community, and support organizations (schools, worksites, children’s groups) that want to create environments that empower us all to be move more and eat well.
  • Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative: The Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative (WFHC) is a farmer-led cooperative owned by the producers and the Wisconsin Farmers Union. The WFHC is dedicated to securing the most profitable markets for our producer-members. The hub makes it easy for the retail, institutional and foodservice sectors to buy locally.
